A Tradition of TrustSince 1987, Heritage America has crusaded in educating the American people concerning the unfair, confiscatory taxation and expense of their estates. We do this through various educational workshops, newsletters, one-on-one presentations, radio broadcasts and other means. We also work politically to change laws we feel are fundamentally unfair to the average American family concerning their estates. Specifically, we call for the abolishment of the federal estate tax and the federal gift tax, and for a nation-wide overhaul of the probate process which substantially limits legal fees and simplifies and shortens the process. |

Our MembersHeritage America is the leading organization for people who wish to educate themselves in the protection of their estates and legal alternatives to the probate system. Those who agree with our beliefs are invited to join our membership. As a benefit of membership in Heritage America, we provide to our members different forums of assistance by which they can avoid or mitigate the effects of laws which may otherwise decimate their estate. Thousands of our members have become knowledgeable on the time-tested methods to protect their estates from the financial devastation of skyrocketing healthcare costs and estate settlement costs. | Heritage America is a non-profit private membership organization incorporated in Washington, D.C., with its national headquarters located in Palos Hills, Illinois. In our early days, Heritage was registered as an Illinois corporation under the name of Heritage Assurance Group, Inc. Subsequent changes to our organizational structure in order to accommodate growth and expansion plans, as well as changes in the law regarding not-for-profit organizations, led to the reorganization as Heritage America. |
